Noida, India: The 19th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema (IFCC) has announced 30th June 2026 as the final date for submission of entries from filmmakers, content creators, photographers, and AI artists from across the globe. The results and awards of the festival will be declared during the month of July 2026.
The festival was formally launched in February 2026 at a grand function where senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi released the official poster and declared the opening of admissions for the prestigious international event.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Festival President and founder of the International Festival of Cellphone Cinema, stated that the festival has emerged as one of the most innovative platforms promoting filmmaking through mobile technology and encouraging the use of emerging creative tools, including Artificial Intelligence.
“All films shot on mobile phones and films created using Artificial Intelligence are eligible for participation. The duration of the film should not exceed three minutes. Entries are invited in the categories of Fiction, News & Current Affairs, and Music Videos. In addition, there is a separate category dedicated to Still Photography,” said Dr. Marwah.
The festival offers complete creative freedom, with no restriction on the number of entries that an individual can submit. This unique feature has attracted participation from students, professionals, independent filmmakers, journalists, photographers, and digital creators from around the world.
Dr. Marwah further announced that a large number of awards, cash prizes, trophies, certificates, and special gifts will be presented to recognize excellence and innovation in mobile filmmaking and photography. The objective of the festival is to motivate, encourage, and provide international exposure to both seasoned professionals and emerging talent.
“The cellphone has become the most powerful creative tool of the modern era. Through this festival, we aim to discover new voices, celebrate innovation, and promote cinematic expression that is accessible to everyone,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah.
Over the years, the International Festival of Cellphone Cinema has earned a distinguished reputation for encouraging digital creativity and democratizing the art of filmmaking. The 19th edition is expected to witness record participation from India and abroad, making it one of the most vibrant celebrations of mobile cinema and visual storytelling.
