Dr. Sandeep Marwah Nominated Patron of Afro-Asian Students Connection in India

Noida: In a significant step towards strengthening educational, cultural, and people-to-people relations between Asia and Africa, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), was nominated as the Patron of the Afro-Asian Students Connection in India during a special visit by the organization’s founder, Sekou Dembele, and his team to Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida.

Welcoming the delegation, Dr. Sandeep Marwah expressed his gratitude for the honor and reiterated his commitment to promoting stronger ties between the nations of Asia and Africa through art, culture, education, media, and youth engagement. He highlighted that meaningful interaction among students and young professionals is essential for fostering mutual understanding, friendship, and long-term international cooperation.

“India and Africa share a historic relationship based on common values, cultural understanding, and developmental aspirations. The youth of our nations have the potential to build bridges of friendship and collaboration that can contribute significantly to global peace and progress. I am delighted to be associated with Afro-Asian Students Connection in India and will extend full support to initiatives that encourage cultural exchange, education, and international cooperation,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Dr. Marwah is widely recognized for his efforts in international cultural diplomacy and currently chairs more than twenty African cultural forums under ICMEI, including the Indo-Nigeria Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Ghana Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Egypt Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Senegal Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Gambia Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Gabon Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Lesotho Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-South Africa Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Morocco Film and Cultural Forum, Indo-Tunisia Film and Cultural Forum, and several others dedicated to strengthening relations between India and African nations.

Speaking on the occasion, Sekou Dembele thanked Dr. Sandeep Marwah for his outstanding contribution to international cultural relations and his continuous support for African communities, students, and cultural organizations in India. He praised Dr. Marwah’s visionary leadership and extensive efforts in building strong people-to-people connections between India and Africa through education, media, art, and culture.

The meeting concluded with discussions on future collaborative programs, student exchange initiatives, cultural events, leadership forums, and educational partnerships aimed at further enhancing Afro-Asian friendship and cooperation.
