Dr. Sandeep Marwah Attends National Day of Uruguay Celebration in New Delhi. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), Founder of Noida Film City and Chair of the Indo Uruguay Film and Cultural Forum, attended the National Day of Uruguay celebration in New Delhi.
The distinguished event was hosted in the presence of H.E. Alberto A. Guani, Ambassador of Uruguay to India, and Ambassador Sibi George, Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Speaking to the press on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah congratulated the Government and people of Uruguay on their National Day and highlighted the growing importance of India–Uruguay relations.
“Uruguay and India share a relationship based on mutual respect, friendship and a common commitment to strengthening people-to-people connections. As Chair of the Indo Uruguay Film and Cultural Forum, I believe that cinema, art and culture can play a major role in taking this relationship to a new level,” said Dr. Marwah.
He further added, “Film is a universal language. It provides an opportunity for people to understand each other’s traditions, values, lifestyles and aspirations. We look forward to creating more avenues for filmmakers, artists, students and cultural organisations of India and Uruguay to interact, exchange ideas and collaborate.”
