2nd Global Fashion And Design Week Noida Started With New Energy

Noida: The 2nd Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2018 today started its national and international activities with full new energy to create a wonderful position for the festival in international market.

Last week festival started with the curtain raiser when 54 delegates from 24 countries of the World participated in Global Summit on ‘Skill Development in Fashion And Design Industry’ in association with Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Skill Development And Entrepreneurship.

“We are different from other fashion weeks as we have added a very important segment of Design to the fashion week. Design is a wider term and it includes garments, furniture, jewelry, interior designing, cars, buildings etc. and has become now part of every industry on this earth,” introduced Sandeep Marwah President of 2nd GFDW-2018.

President PHD Chamber of Commerce And Industry Anil Khaitan along with former Haryana Minister Krishna Murti Hudda, International Marketing Manager at The Handicrafts and Handlooms Exports corporation of India Limited K.C.Shakdwepee, Jwelery Designer Abhishek Tiwari, Film personality Pradeep Kukerja, a renowned acchitect Aashish Sharma, Mrs IndiaUniverse-Style Icon Babita Choudhury inaugurated the first Session.

Every one expressed their definition of fashion and design and shared their experience of the industry.Later Sandeep Marwah presented al the delegates with memento of 2ndGFDWN 2018 and Ritu Lal paid vote of thanks. The formal function followed by a grand fashion show by the students of AAFT School of Fashion And Design.

The 3 day fashion and design week showcased Painting, furniture and jewelry exhibitions. There were workshops, seminars, interactions, screening of films, fashion shows and entertainment programs. The delegates from all over India and abroad have registered them for the shows. 160 designers participated with around 700 dresses presented in 9 major shows in 63 segments.

The festival director Ritu Lal said, ”We are very keen in developing and promoting young talent of this country. Many new designers have taken keen interest in the show”. ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry supports the event in association with AAFT School of Fashion And Design.
