New Delhi: In recognition of the growing importance of the economic potential of closer linkages between India and South East Asia, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry is proposing to organize the Conference on ‘India –ASEAN Business Summit: Today, Tomorrow, Together’ on 11th -12th November 2019 at PHD House, New Delhi.
“The core objective of the Conference is to create opportunities for deepening trade and investment ties between India and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and to showcase the Indian States as the drivers of growth,” said Ajay Poddar Chairperson of the Committee at the curtain raiser of the event.
“ASEAN has become one of India’s largest trading partners. Post India-ASEAN FTA, total trade between the two regions has expanded substantially from US$ 45.34 billion in 2008-09 to nearly US$ 81 billion in 2017-18. The two sides expect bilateral trade to increase to US$ $200 billion by 2022,” informed Dr. D.K.Agarwal President of PHD Chamber.
“Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, India NESIA, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand are Vietnam are the participating countries,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.
