Yes the literacy is increasing in India which is a good sign. On the other hand, many newspapers had to see the dark side of the moon and closed down. On one side new TV Channels are applying for license but older ones are packing up their business,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of the festival on the first day of Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2021 online initiating the discussion and celebrating International Journalism Day

“Global festival of Journalism is a wonderful platform for all of us belonging to diplomatic corps. It has given us an international exposure towards journalism in relation to India, where we are based. I wish all the success to the festival,” said H.E. Muhammed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to India.

“Social media has taken over the traditional media be it a print or television. These newspapers and channels have to look for high quality of information and programming to reestablish their creditability and viewership and readership. The exclusive coverage is required,” said H.E. Marjan Cencen Ambassador of Slovenia to India.

A poster of Shaheed Bhagat Singh was released to remember his contribution to the independence movement of the nation. A new bulletin PEHEL prepared by the students of AAFT School of Mass Communication And Journalism was also presented for release.
