The Minister spoke about the remarkable growth and transformation of the sector, driven by cinema, broadcasting, digital media, animation and emerging creative technologies. His address underscored the increasing importance of creativity, talent and innovation in shaping India’s economic and cultural progress.
The occasion brought attention to the Orange Economy—the economic activity generated by creative and cultural industries—and the opportunities it presents for artists, filmmakers, media professionals and young entrepreneurs. India’s expanding creative ecosystem offers considerable potential for employment, new enterprises and international collaboration.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, Founder of Noida Film City and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media & Arts, welcomed the Minister’s emphasis on the sector.
“India’s creative strength lies in its extraordinary diversity, powerful storytelling traditions and talented young population. The Orange Economy offers an opportunity to turn this creativity into employment, entrepreneurship and international recognition. Through education, practical training and collaboration with industry, we must prepare young professionals to lead the next phase of growth in media and entertainment,” said Dr. Marwah.
He further highlighted the role of film festivals as platforms for learning, creative exchange and cultural cooperation. “The Global Film Festival Noida brings students, filmmakers, industry leaders and international representatives together to exchange ideas and explore opportunities. Our endeavour is to connect creative education with industry needs while promoting love, peace and unity through art and culture,” he added.
