Noida: The AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism celebrated the diverse flavors of Palestine and Iraq during the 13th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2025 at Marwah Studios, Film City. This unique cultural initiative was inaugurated by veteran journalist Dr. Waiel S.H. Awwad, representing the India & Arab Countries Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture.
The event provided an immersive culinary experience, bringing authentic Middle Eastern cuisine to the forefront. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the rich flavors, spices, and traditional dishes that define the Palestinian and Iraqi food culture. Speaking at the event, Dr. Waiel S.H. Awwad emphasized the role of food in fostering cultural connections: “Cuisine is an expression of history, heritage, and identity. This initiative by AAFT not only introduces people to the flavors of Palestine and Iraq but also strengthens cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.”

The event was promoted by the Indo-Iraq Film and Cultural Forum and the Indo-Palestine Film and Cultural Forum, reinforcing AAFT’s vision of using food, film, and culture as bridges between nations.
