Alonso Correa Miguel Honoured with Patronship of Indo Panama Film and Cultural Forum. Hence Noida, June 2025: In a grand celebration marking 32 glorious years of the International Film and Television Research Centre (IFTRC) and the commencement of the 125th historic batch of AAFT. Marwah Studios proudly conferred the prestigious Patronship of Indo Panama Film and Cultural Forum (IPFCF). Upon H.E. Alonso Correa Miguel, the Hon’ble Ambassador of Panama to India.The ceremony, held at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City, witnessed a vibrant gathering of film and television professionals, dignitaries, cultural envoys, and enthusiastic students of AAFT. The honour bestowed by Dr. Sandeep Marwah. President of Marwah Studios and founder of AAFT. Hence in recognition of Ambassador Correa Miguel’s continuous support towards cultural diplomacy and his commitment to strengthening India–Panama relations.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah shared that the Indo Panama Film and Cultural Forum (IPFCF). Established nearly seven years ago such as a collaborative initiative between the Embassy of Panama in India. And the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI). Since its inception, the forum has been instrumental in organizing and facilitating over 25 major cultural. Hence cinematic, and academic events to foster bilateral cooperation in arts and culture.

“Panama has been an integral part of ICMEI’s flagship initiatives, and this recognition is a reflection of our strong and ever-growing partnership,” said Dr. Marwah during his address.

H.E. Alonso Correa Miguel, in his remarks, expressed deep gratitude for the honour and reiterated Panama’s. Commitment to deepening its cultural ties with India. “I am delighted to be associated with this vibrant platform that not only connects two countries but also bridges people through cinema and culture. IPFCF is a shining example of how cultural diplomacy paves the way for enduring friendships,” he said.

The event also served as a platform to reaffirm IPFCF’s future roadmap, including student exchange programs. Joint film productions, and collaborative festivals that celebrate the diversity of both nations. The celebration concluded with a standing ovation for the newly appointed patron and a cultural presentation by the students of AAFT, encapsulating the spirit of Indo-Panamanian friendship.
