New Delhi, India: The Embassy of Oman hosted a grand celebration marking the National Day of the Sultanate of Oman, bringing together a distinguished gathering of ambassadors, high commissioners, diplomats, senior officials, and guests from diverse walks of life. The event reflected the rich cultural heritage, progress, and global vision of Oman under its national leadership.
H.E. Issa Saleh Abdullah Alshibani, Ambassador of Oman to India, warmly welcomed the esteemed audience and addressed the gathering with a message of friendship and cooperation. He highlighted the long-standing and growing ties between Oman and India, noting that shared history, cultural affinity, and strong economic partnerships continue to deepen the relationship between the two nations.
The Chief Guest of the evening, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Coal and Mines, Government of India, congratulated the people and the leadership of Oman on this joyous occasion. He emphasized the strong diplomatic and economic relations between India and Oman, acknowledging Oman’s role as a key strategic partner in the Gulf region. He appreciated the embassy for fostering continuous goodwill and facilitating collaborations across trade, culture, and community engagement.
Representing the creative and cultural sector, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair for the Indo Oman Film and Cultural Forum, interacted with the media and said: “India and Oman share an exceptional bond built on mutual respect and vibrant cultural exchange. Through the Indo Oman Film and Cultural Forum, we are committed to creating more avenues in cinema, art, education, and cultural interactions that bring our people closer. Celebrating Oman’s National Day here reinforces the spirit of friendship between our nations.”
