Dr. Sandeep Marwah Meets UK Deputy Prime Minister at AI Impact Summit to Strengthen Indo-UK Creative and Educational Ties. New Delhi: In a significant diplomatic and cultural engagement during the AI Impact Summit in the national capital, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Film City Noida and President of Marwah Studios, held a special meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, David Lammy, at the British Council.

Dr. Marwah, who serves as Ambassador of Wales in India, Chair for the Indo UK Film and Cultural Forum, and Chair for the Indo Wales Creative Forum, briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on his extensive activities strengthening creative, educational, and cultural ties between India and the United Kingdom.

During the interaction, Dr. Marwah highlighted his longstanding association with the UK across media, films, education, and cultural diplomacy. He shared that he has been honoured at the British Parliament eleven times — becoming the first Indian to receive such recognition on multiple occasions — for his outstanding contribution to promoting art, culture, and media relations between the two nations.

A key highlight of the discussion was the robust student exchange initiative led by Dr. Marwah, through which nearly 200 Indian students are taken to the United Kingdom for academic exposure, cultural exchange, and professional development, further strengthening people-to-people connections.

Dr. Marwah also emphasized that the United Kingdom remains a valued partner of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) in major international platforms, including: Global Film Festival, Global Literary Festival, Global Fashion Week, and International Documentary Film Festival.

He underlined that collaboration with the UK has consistently added depth, diversity, and international participation to these global events, reinforcing the shared creative vision of both nations.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Marwah stated, “India and the United Kingdom share a historic and evolving partnership in the fields of education, cinema, culture, and creative industries. Through structured forums and institutional collaboration, we are building bridges that empower youth, promote innovation, and strengthen bilateral ties for generations to come.”

The meeting marked a powerful step toward deepening Indo-UK cooperation in artificial intelligence, media innovation, creative industries, and educational exchange, reaffirming a shared commitment to global cultural leadership in the digital age.
