Dr. Sandeep Marwah Inaugurates National Conference on North East’s Contribution & Potential Towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047. New Delhi, 23rd August 2025: The Global Counter Terrorism Council (GCTC) successfully organized a high-profile National Conference on “Contribution & Potential of North East towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047” at the prestigious India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The conference brought together policymakers, academicians, senior administrators, diplomats, security experts, and thought leaders to deliberate on the pivotal role of India’s North Eastern region in shaping the country’s future vision of a developed nation by 2047 under the leadership of Aditya Tikoo.
The conference was formally inaugurated by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, renowned media personality, and advisor to several ministries of the Government of India.
In his inspiring inaugural address, Dr. Marwah underlined the importance of self-reliance as the cornerstone of national growth. He reminded the audience of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s call for Atma Nirbhar Bharat, and further expanded the thought with his well-known advocacy of “Be Indian, Buy Indian.” He stressed that the nation’s progress must be rooted in local empowerment, strengthening of indigenous industries, promotion of cultural and creative economies, and inclusive regional development. Dr. Marwah emphasized that the North East, with its rich cultural heritage, strategic location, natural resources, and dynamic youth population, has the potential to emerge as a powerhouse of growth and innovation, contributing significantly to the realization of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
