H.E. Arunkoemar Hardien Presented with Patronship of Indo-Suriname Film and Cultural Forum

Noida, 29th December: The Indo-Suriname Film and Cultural Forum was officially launched during the 17th Global Film Festival at Marwah Film City, Noida. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), nominated His Excellency Arunkoemar Hardien, Ambassador of Suriname, as the Patron of the Forum.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening and promoting relations between India and Suriname through art and culture. It serves as a platform to foster cultural exchange, collaborations in film, television, and other creative industries, and to celebrate the shared heritage of the two nations.

Speaking at the event, H.E. Arunkoemar Hardien expressed his gratitude and shared his vision for the forum. “It is a great honor to be named Patron of this significant initiative. The Indo-Suriname Film and Cultural Forum will act as a bridge to connect our two countries, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of our diverse cultural landscapes,” he said.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah highlighted the forum’s importance and its potential impact. “This forum is a remarkable milestone in cultural diplomacy. By bringing together artists, filmmakers, and cultural enthusiasts from India and Suriname, we are paving the way for new collaborations and mutual growth in the creative sectors,” Dr. Marwah remarked.
