New Delhi: The Indian Army was officially established on 1 April 1895. India got its first Army Chief in 1949. On 15 January 1949, Field Marshal K. M. Cariappa took over the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Francis Butcher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India. This year, India has celebrated 74th Army Day on 15 January, 2022.

It is the sacrifice of our Indian soldiers that we can sleep peacefully at night. The army has sacrificed so much for us that we should thank these people for doing so much for us. Not only the men in the military but also the women has given so much for their country,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor AAFT University in a meeting organised by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry to celebrate Indian Army Day.
This is to inform you that Dr. Sandeep Marwah had spent eight years in uniform when he was in Delhi Home Guards. He joined the para military force as volunteer officer in the rank of Battalion Commander and rose upto District Commandant. He was taking care of force of 4500 men directly.
