Sandeep Marwah Attends Jamaica Independence Day Celebration as Special Guest

New Delhi, India – Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City, President of Marwah Studios, and Chancellor of AAFT University, was honored as a special guest at the 62nd Jamaica Independence Day celebration in New Delhi. The event, hosted by H.E. Mr. Jason K. M. Hall, High Commissioner of Jamaica to India, took place at Hotel The Grand, New Delhi. The occasion marked a significant milestone in the history of Jamaica, commemorating six decades of freedom, culture, and progress.

Dr. Marwah, an esteemed global cultural ambassador and media personality said while talking to the press “Cultural diversity brings a collective strength that can benefit all of humanity.”  Dr. Marwah, emphasized the role that cultural partnerships play in fostering mutual understanding and strengthening diplomatic ties.

The event was graced by Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Hon’ble Minister of State for Education, who served as the Chief Guest. In his speech, Shri Chaudhary highlighted the deep-rooted ties between India and Jamaica, acknowledging the growing collaboration between the two nations across various fields, including education, culture, and the creative industries.

Dr. Marwah, through his work at the Indo-Jamaica Film and Cultural Forum under the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), has been at the forefront of promoting cultural diplomacy. During his remarks, he spoke about the ongoing efforts of the Indo-Jamaica Film and Cultural Forum to enhance collaboration between the two countries in the fields of cinema, media, and culture.

“India and Jamaica share a wonderful bond, and the Indo-Jamaica Film and Cultural Forum is working diligently to bring fresh energy and focus to these collaborations. We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead, and we are committed to expanding our cultural and artistic ties through events, exchanges, and creative partnerships,” stated Dr. Marwah.

The celebration of Jamaica’s independence was a vibrant display of the island nation’s rich cultural heritage, featuring music, dance, and artistic performances that captivated the audience. Guests included diplomats, dignitaries, and members of the Indian cultural and business communities, all of whom expressed admiration for Jamaica’s unique cultural contributions and its growing relationship with India.
