Seminar Explores OTT’s Role in Opening Doors for New Talent, Vloggers, and Influencers at 17th Global Film Festival Noida

Noida, December 23, 2024 – The 17th Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN) 2024 hosted a thought-provoking seminar titled “If OTT Has Opened the Doors for New Talent, Vloggers, and Influencers”, shedding light on the dynamic opportunities provided by Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms in shaping the careers of aspiring artists and creators. The seminar, held at Marwah Film City, witnessed engaging discussions from industry stalwarts, influencers, and government representatives.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media & Arts, set the tone for the session. “The media and entertainment industry in India is thriving, growing at a remarkable rate of 12% annually. OTT platforms have revolutionized the industry, providing a stage for untapped talent and fostering new business opportunities. With strong government support, the future of the industry is incredibly bright,” he remarked.

The seminar featured prominent speakers who shared their insights and experiences: Heena Kaul – Model & Social Media Influencer, Divya Bahl – Celebrity Makeup Artist, Poonam Yadav – Model & Actress, Deepika Gupta – Fashion Blogger, Aroon Bakshi – Actor & Singer, Deepa Sondhi – Fashion Designer, Gagan Singh – Model & Actor, Royal Manjot Singh – Actor, Milan Kumar Sahu – Deputy Director, NCVET, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India

The speakers highlighted the transformative impact of OTT platforms in democratizing content creation, allowing emerging talent to showcase their skills without traditional gatekeeping. From actors to fashion bloggers, OTT platforms have become a launchpad for careers, opening up diverse streams of income and recognition.

The discussions also emphasized the evolving roles of vloggers and influencers in driving consumer behavior, establishing themselves as key players in the digital economy. Topics such as monetization strategies, leveraging personal branding, and the intersection of technology and creativity were explored in detail.
