World Standards Day 2025 Celebrated at Marwah Studios

World Standards Day 2025 Celebrated at Marwah Studios. Noida: 14th October 2025 — Marwah Studios proudly celebrated World Standards Day 2025, recognizing the vital role of standardization in fostering innovation, safety, and global collaboration. The celebration highlighted the contributions of thousands of experts worldwide who work tirelessly to develop and maintain voluntary international standards that shape industries and enhance the quality of life.

Every year on October 14, the world observes World Standards Day—also known as International Standards Day—to honor the collective efforts of experts and organizations dedicated to building a standardized and sustainable global framework.

The observance marks a historical milestone dating back to 1946, when delegates from 25 nations met in London and decided to create an international body for promoting standardization. Although the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was officially formed in 1947, the first World Standards Day was celebrated in 1970.

The event at Marwah Studios was graced by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair for the Media and Entertainment Committee of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India.

In his address, Dr. Marwah emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards in every field, especially within the creative and media industries. “Standards are the invisible backbone of progress. In the media and entertainment sector, they ensure quality, safety, and consistency while fostering innovation and international collaboration. As professionals, it is our duty to uphold and promote these standards in every creative endeavor,” said Dr. Marwah.

The celebration reaffirmed Marwah Studios’ commitment to excellence, innovation, and adherence to international standards across all its institutions, including the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI).

The event concluded with discussions on the growing relevance of standards in digital content creation, broadcasting, and media education, aligning with global best practices and the vision of “One World, One Standard.”
